Planned for Sept 19. at 7 p.m. at the Grundy County Senior Center in Trenton, will be an informative meeting dealing with the implementation of the U.S.D.A.’s rulings for the National Animal Identification System which is slated to become effective for all livestock and pet owners.

Requirements include all owners to obtain a premise identification number and to micro-chip all animals with a 15 digit tracking number. This meeting will cover what these rulings consist of and the impact it will have on everyone. And how these rulings might be ammended.

Four speakers from Property Rights Groups have been invited to speak, and several members

of the Missouri Legislature and from the Missouri Department of Agriculture, Farm Bureau and Missouri Cattlemen’s Association have been invited to talk with the group.
