I’d like to take this time to tell all the dispatchers what a good job they do.

It saddens me to see none of the flags out around the square.

Dear Editor:

Last Wednesday’s ordeal east of Coffey proved how good they are. They kept track of all the officers and as the parents of one of those officers we appreciate them and the work they do. Their jobs couldn’t be that easy to keep track of all they do.

Dear Editor:

Today being the fifth year since 911, and being a parent of some who serve because of this day bringing us into war, it saddens me to see none of the flags out around the square. The courthouse is flying half mast and the city is also. However, this is Patriot Day and it means a lot to some of us. Young men and women are now serving for all of our freedoms, no matter the capacity. The idea is that they are serving, and to some of us this day is a very important day. The day will be over, but the idea that there were no flags out is sad.
