Three people received minor injuries in an accident on Hwy. 6 about a fourth-of-a-mile west of Gallatin at 5:52 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7.

According to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol, Connie Lawson, 50, Winston, was eastbound on Hwy. 6, and Andrea Gibson, 27, Gallatin, was crossing the highway southbound from a private drive. Ms. Gibson pulled into the path of Mrs. Lawson. Both vehicles went off the south side of the roadway and came to rest on their wheels.
Mrs. Lawson and a passenger in her vehicle, Arthur Lawson, 47, Winston, were both taken by private vehicle to Cameron Regional Medical Center. Ms. Gibson refused treatment at the scene. All involved were wearing their seat belts.
Mrs. Lawson’s 1997 Chevrolet pickup was moderately damaged and Ms. Gibson’s 2004 Chevrolet was totaled. Both vehicles were towed by Bridgeman’s of Altamont.
The accident was investigated by Cpl. P.M. Kimball, assisted by Cpl. R.A. Sherman, Tpr. B.E. Maudlin, and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.
Summon to Ms. Gibson for failure to yield upon entering a highway.
An Iowa man received minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident on I-35 about five miles north of Cameron in Daviess County at 4:45 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 11.
Robert C. Nesselroad, 41, was northbound on I-35 when he fell asleep, ran off the right side of the road, struck a drainage culvert, and came to rest on the right side of the roadway.
Mr. Nesselroad, who was not wearing his seat belt, was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center.
His International tractor (year unknown) was moderately damaged and towed by Scottys.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. Bradley E. Maudlin, assisted by Cpl. R.A. Sherman.
No summons.
