Over $16,000 dollars was raised at this year’s event, which will benefit the American Cancer Society. Research for finding cures and treatment of cancer is the society’s mission.

Rainy conditions and a severe weather alert by the National Weather Service didn’t dampen the spirits of the large crowd attending the 17th annual Daviess County Relay for Life held last weekend on the courthouse square in Gallatin.
This year’s co-chairman, Paul and Terry Pierce of Gallatin, stated that the support of many helped make the relay a success.
