Several events were held with the opening of the time capsule as the highlight on Saturday. Many residents and former residents gathered for a photo of those who attended the Centennial of 1956. The Coffey Community Betterment Club, the City of Coffey and Don Prindle are to be commended on their hard work for making the Sesquicentennial a success. Mr. Prindle will be returning to Coffey at a later date with slides and photos of the 1956 Centennial. Commemorative items are still available and can be purchased from Jim Read at 660-533-2315.
