The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced that Route V in Daviess County (which connects Route 6 with Route 190) has been scheduled for resurfacing this construction season. Norris Asphalt Paving Company received the contract for the project for the bid award of $343,439.57.
The full length of Route V will be resurface with a 1” surface level course after Labor Day, the week of Sept. 5, 2006 (weather permitting.). Although the road will not be closed, there will be periodic daytime lane closures with the use of a pilot car during the project to direct traffic. The entire resurfacing project is estimated to take no longer than nine days.
MoDOT apologizes for any inconvenience that this necessary project may cause.
