The Pattonsburg Board of Aldermen reviewed the tax levy and set it at $1 per 100 dollars during their regular meeting held on Aug. 9 at city hall.
Bills were paid as presented.
The board voted to pay the fee for bonding the city clerk with the insurance company for another year.
Judy Horton spoke to the council about putting up a memorial in honor of the recently deceased Chucky Graves. The council said it is willing to help with this matter and will talk with Mrs. Horton in more detail about what exactly she is proposing to do in Mr. Graves’ honor.
The 4-wheeler ordinance that was approved on July 11 was signed by the current mayor, Mark Smith, as a delayed signing.
The city received and accepted an estimate from Sigrist & Assoc.
The board voted to transfer $2,000 from the "Projects" account into the park account.
There is a city clerk’s meeting in St. Joe Thursday, Aug. 17. The board agreed to pay the mileage and meal cost for the city clerk to attend.
The council stated that all people interested in purchasing property in Pattonsburg are encouraged to attend the city council meeting to discuss their interest with the council. The city meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at city hall.
