Gallatin Clubs

The Daviess County Business Women’s Association met Aug. 1 at Kalani-O-Makana with 14 members and one guest, Mary Madeiros, present. Patty Heldenbrand and Darlene Patton were hostesses for this meeting. After dinner, Mary entertained the ladies with her program on Hawaii. Jane McKinsey reminded members to deliver food by 5 p.m. for the Relay for Life survivors dinner scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 12 at the Daviess County Country Club. The ladies had several bags of snack foods for Vice-President Sandy Vyrostek to deliver to Marie Toney for the summer food program for local children. Lana Corwin, treasurer, reported that the scholarship money and the swim program donation have been paid. There wasn’t any birthday raffle for August. The next meeting will be Sept. 12 with Jane McKinsey and Margaret Townsend as hostesses. The September newsletter will have further details.
