Phyllis Carder, 69, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at the Cameron Regional Medical Center. Services were held at noon Friday, July 28, at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Family visitation was held one hour prior to the service. Interment was at Hillcrest Cemetery near Gallatin. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gallatin First Christian Church, Building Fund.

Phyllis was born November 20, 1936, to Robert Lewis and Mary Frances (Clements) Macy in Gallatin, Mo. She attended Gallatin High School. Phyllis was united in marriage to Conrad Carder August 5, 1953, in Hamilton, Mo. Phyllis was a member of the First Christian Church in Gallatin. She was also a longtime member of DAR, and the Blake Community Club. Phyllis was a counselor for Alcoholics Anonymous where she devoted many hours helping others in need. She was a Realtor in the Kansas City area working for ReMax and Realty Executives. She loved working in the real estate business. She took great pride in helping her clients find that perfect home and enjoyed meeting and making new friends. Phyllis recently moved back to Gallatin after retiring to be near her family.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Len Carder in 1972; sister, Doloris Carpenter in 2004.

Surviving Phyllis are four children, Carl Allen Carder and wife Sherri, Gallatin; Randolph Lewis Carder and wife Kim, Kearney; William Macy Carder and wife Grace, Gallatin; Mary Sue Carder, Kearney; 10 grandchildren, Brandi Moritz, Bryan Lukehart, Stacy Carder, Joe Brewer, Brook Carder, Tyler Lukehart, Robert Carder, Andy Carder, Jonathan Carder, Anna Carder; one great-grandchild, Alexis Lukehart; and long time friend of the family Dorothy Steele of Gallatin, who she considered as one of her own children.
