Pastor Clyde N. Lint and the congregation of the Gallatin Assembly of God were extremely pleased with the Vacation Bible School, which was held the week of July 17-23. The material was "The Treasure Cove" from Concordia Publishers. Lita Terry was the director and the teachers were Marvin and Linda Lollar, Rita Terry, Louise Curtis, Tammy Mobley and Clyde Lint. There were many others helping in many ways.
The kids were excited about the puppets and finding a new treasure each day at various locations. They learned that Jesus is our greatest treasure. Some of them commented, "Can we do this again?"
The puppets minister to the children and others on a regular monthly basis at Gallatin Assembly of God. The puppeteers are from the congregation.
Children of the Gallatin First Assembly of God Church attending Vacation Bible School are pictured leaving the "snack shack" to help "Chester" find a precious gem. Vacation Bible School was held July 17-21 for two hours each evening. V.B.S. was a huge success with 29 kids and two young boys giving their hearts to Jesus. Sunday evening was VBS graduation with fellowship and refreshments following.
