A 16-year-old Altamont girl and another 16-year-old girl from Cameron received minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at about 1:38 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25, in Clinton County.

Two women were injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, in Harrison County, nine miles south of Bethany, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred as a westbound vehicle driven by Donna Young, 62, of Eagleville, failed to yield right of way to a southbound vehicle driven by Melissa Youngs, 19, of Coffey, while crossing Hwy. 13 onto Rt. H. The Youngs vehicle struck the Young vehicle, and both vehicles came to rest on the roadway.
Melissa and a passenger in her vehicle, Rita Youngs, were both taken to Harrison Community Hospital by Noel T. Adams Ambulance, both with moderate injuries. All involved were wearing their seat belts.
Melissa Youngs’ 1997 Pontiac Grand AM was totaled and towed by Young’s Tow of Eagleville. Donna Young’s 2004 Chevrolet K1500 was extensively damaged and driven from the scene.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. D.R. Reuter, assisted by Tpr. J.S. Johnson, Sgt. M.A. Ott and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department.

A Platte City man received moderate injuries in a one vehicle accident which occurred at about 3:31 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, in Daviess County.
Matthew Collins, 41, was southbound on Hwy. 69, two-tenths of a mile north of Old Pattonsburg, when his 1999 Honda traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, skidded back across Hwy. 69, and went off the left side of the roadway, then went down and embankment and rolled one time, coming to rest.
Mr. Collins was taken by NTA Ambulance to Harrison County Community Hospital. He was wearing a seat belt.
The Honda was totaled and towed by Bridgeman’s of Altamont.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. A.K. Griffin, assisted by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, Pattonsburg Fire Department and Pattonsburg First Responders.
Summons to Matthew Collins for failure to drive on right half of the roadway.

The accident occurred as Shayna McQueen of Cameron was northbound on NE Jones Road, three miles south of Cameron. The 2003 Olds began to slide, Shayna overcorrected, causing the car to slide off of the right side of the roadway, where it struck a ditch and overturned onto its top, then came to rest partly on the roadway.
Shayna and a passenger, Rebecca Lutes, Altamont, were transported by Cameron Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center.
The Olds received extensive damage and was towed by Scotty’s Carriage Works of Cameron.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. C.A. Taibi, assisted by the Cameron Police Department and the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
