Members of the Pattonsburg Eight & Under Girls Softball Team recently sealed the Harrison County championship by winning the season tournament. During regular season play, the team was 9-1, with a loss to Eagleville, making them at least co-champions of the Harrison County League. Seeded first going into the tournament, they were awarded a bye in the first round of play. Second round opponent, Harrison County Title, faced a fired up team and Rob’s Cycle won handily, 20-4. Playing their second game of the day, and entering the final round of the tournament, Rob’s Cycle was faced with Eagleville, the only team that had beaten them during the regular season. The girls came out ready to play, winning the game going away by a score of 19-10. Home runs, double plays, and solid fielding and hitting were the keys to success for the team. What a homecoming for their coach Angie Booth who had been away at National Guard training during he tournament. In Angie’s absence, the team was well coached by Pam Plymell, Shelly Warner and Laura Booth.
