Local county crop pest meetings are scheduled across the fifteen counties in Northwest Missouri to discuss corn and soybean pests. The meetings will be held in grower fields. These meetings are sponsored by the local County Extension Councils and University of Missouri Extension.
Growers are welcome to bring in samples to be identified and discuss pest problems that are occurring on their farm. The meeting will start with the current pests we are seeing, and then move into the field to discuss and identify pests that growers should be watching for. The meetings will be from two to two and one-half hours in length.
This is the meeting schedule for the week of Aug. 2-4:
Atchison County In-field meeting will be held Tuesday, Aug.1 at 9 a.m.; Cooperator is Duane Klute. The location is East of Tarkio on Hwy 136 to Route M. Turn North Approximately 4 miles to 170th Street, and then turn east and the first house on the north side of the road.
Holt County In-field meeting will be held Tuesday, Aug.1 at 1 p.m., operator is Dave Banks. The location is two miles east of Forbes on Blacktop T.
Nodaway County In-field meeting will be held Wednesday, Aug. 2 at 9 a.m. Cooperator is Jim Stiens. The location is on Highway 136 East of Maryville past the 102 River and the field is on the North side of the road. Also, this location will include an alfalfa pest management session.
Buchanan County In-field meeting will be held Wednesday, Aug. 2 at 1 p.m. Cooperator is Warren Knadler. The location is three miles east of St. Joseph on Hwy 36.
Harrison County In-field meeting will be held Thursday, Aug. 3 at 9 a.m. The cooperator is Roger Lewis. The location will be the junction of Highway 136 and 69 West of Bethany.
Mercer County In-field meeting will be held Thursday, Aug. 3 at 1 p.m. The cooperator is Gary Porter. The location is one and three quarters of a mile North of Mercer on Highway 65. Turn East on Amanda Street and the Location is across the railroad tracks.
Clinton County In-field meeting will be held Friday, Aug. 4 at 9 a.m. The cooperator is Gerald Grines. The location is five miles east of Stewartsville on Highway 36 and take Highway 33 South two miles.
Dekalb County In-field meeting will be held Friday, Aug. 4 at 1 p.m. The cooperator is Joe Kagay. The location is five miles west of Maysville on Highway 6 and then South on McCartney Road for three quarters of a mile.

Gentry County In-field meeting will be held Tuesday, Aug. 8 at 9 a.m. The cooperator is Bruce Burdick. The location is the Hundley-Whaley Learning Center in Albany.
Worth County In-field meeting will be held Tuesday, Aug. 8 at 1 p.m. The cooperators are Don Null and Paul Tracy. The location is three and one-half miles South of Allendale on Route C.
Caldwell County In-field meeting will be held Wednesday, Aug. 9 at 9 a.m. The cooperator is Ed Estabrook. The location is three quarters of a mile East of Route A on Highway 36. Route A is the Highway going to Braymer.
Livingston County In-field meeting will be held Wednesday, Aug. 9 at 1 p.m. The cooperators are Ora and David Morris. The location is West of Chillicothe on Highway 190 then South on County Road 525 approximately two and one half miles.
Grundy County In-field meeting will be held Thursday, Aug. 10 at 9 a..m. The cooperator is Kevin Harris. The location is North of Trenton on Highway 65; turn right at MFA Oil, which is NE 20th St; cross Y Highway and continue for three fourths of a mile.

Andrew County In-field meeting will be held Friday, Aug. 11 at 9 a.m. The cooperators are Doug Davis and Jim Paxton. The location is West of Savannah on Highway 59; turn North on County Road 71; take a left on County Road 70 and proceed approximately one-half mile.
