"The love of flowers runs in my family. My mother always had a flower garden and my sister Julie is a florist," said Glenda St. John whose lawn at 1302 Green Drive in Gallatin was selected as Yard of the Month by the Gallatin Garden Club.

My mother always had a flower garden and my sister Julie is a florist," said Glenda St. John whose lawn at 1302 Green Drive in Gallatin was selected as Yard of the Month by the Gallatin Garden Club. Glenda said the flower planters in her garden display are reproductions of Chippendale planters. The white wooden planters were popular in the mid 1700’s during the era of Chippendale furniture design. She thought they would go quite well with her house and she was able to find the planters on the Internet. She has several varieties of flowers: rose moss, marigolds, geraniums, inpatients, phlox, tiger lilies, petunias, fern, vining vinca and daisies. "The phlox and tiger lilies were here when I moved here 14 years ago," said Glenda. "They were in very poor shape and through yearly care I have been able to promote their growth." The company, Bedrock Landscaping, helped Glenda with the landscaping.
