County Commission

James Lewis, bridge supervisor, reported that they are setting steel on the bridge under construction in Salem Township.

Becky Simpson, Extension Council, reported that the new agent will be in the office by Sept. 1.

Tom Bonderer, Liberty Township, met with the commission regarding roads in that township.

The clerk reported that the assessed valuation for the county is $96,488,290.

David Holcomb reported having contacted John Taylor, attorney, the conservator for the Lambert estate regarding the delinquent lease payments and utilities.

David Tolen reported having chaired the Green Hills Regional Planning Commission meeting on June 29, and the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail meeting on June 30.

A portion of the meeting was closed, according to RSMO 610.021, to address property acquisition. During the closed session, no votes were taken and no decisions were made.

During the open session, bills were audited and paid.

These are the approved minutes of July 3, 2006. All commissioners were present. Minutes were approved.

The county commission met on June 27with all commissioners present. The meeting was closed to discuss property acquisition (RSMo. Section 610.021. No decisions were made and no votes taken in closed session.

In open session, the commission discussed the Highway 6 improvement public meeting.
