James Lewis, bridge supervisor, met with the commission reporting routine matters.

David Holcomb reported having met with Julia Filley, prosecuting attorney, and Tom Bonderer, Liberty Township, regarding the access to a county road. Mrs. Filley will send a letter advising the owner to remove the property from the right-of-way.

The commission reported that they had met with Kevin Keith, Missouri Department of Transportation, Senator David Klindt, Representative Brad Lager, and Randy Railsback, Green Hills Regional Planning Commission, on June 12 in Jefferson City. An agreement was reached that two plans will be submitted at the public hearing, July 6 at the Gallatin Elementary School, and public opinion will determine which option will be implemented for the improvement project on Highway 6.

Bill Eckert, Jamesport Special Road District, met with the commission regarding the poor quality of 2-inch rock being delivered.

Wilbur Bush met with the commission leaving copies of historical records regarding the courthouse.

At 11 a.m., as advertised, bids for used steel were opened. The commission unanimously accepted the bid of $60 per ton from Ron Wilson.

Following discussion of the recent bids for burners for the boiler, the commission unanimously accepted the bid from McBroom Service Company at $5,585.
