Graveside service and interment for Anna Trauernicht was held at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the King Hill Cemetery, St. Joseph. Services were provided by Rupp Funeral Home, St. Joseph.

Anna Belle Trauernicht, 71, St. Joseph, died Sunday, June 25, 2006, at her home.

Born in St. Joseph on Oct. 13, 1934, she was a lifelong resident of St. Joseph. She graduated from Missouri Western State College in 1976 with a teacher’s certificate.

Mrs. Trauernicht was a teacher at Mid-Buchanan School.

She was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Dorothy Young; a son, Thomas Trauernicht; and a grandchild, Cristina Joe Trauernicht.

Survivors include three sons, David Trauernicht, Robert Trauernicht, and Jonathan Trauernicht, all of St. Joseph; two daughters, Rose Gatton, Gallatin, and Teresa Trauernicht, St. Joseph; one brother, James H.J. Young, St. Joseph; one stepsister, Rosa Lee Martin, St. Joseph; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
