Daviess County Commission Report
James Lewis, bridge supervisor, met with the commission reporting that they will be driving piling for a bridge in Salem Township.
Joe Reed, Harrison Township trustee, met with the commission requesting the addition of 1.25 miles, road #143, to their CART program. The commission agreed when the brush is removed and the base rock applied.
Bob Burnett, Snyder and Associates, contacted the commission informing them that MoDOT has approved the preliminary plans for BRO 27. The landowners involved should be contacted for right-of-way documents.
Dennis Fewins, Jamesport Special Road District, met with the commission in regard to brush problems and the addition of road #408 to the CART program.
Tom Bonderer, Liberty Township landowner, met with the commission requesting that road #600 be added to the CART program and equipment parked in a roadway. The commission agreed to the addition of one mile of road following the addition of base rock.
Billy Bob Breeden, Alltel, met with the commission concerning placing conduit in bridges during construction. Alltel will provide for the additional costs. The commission agreed if approved by the engineering firm.
Reta Rains, treasurer, met with the commission reporting the status of prisoner reimbursements.
Bills were audited and paid.
At 11 a.m., as advertised, the commission opened bids for plat books. Marceline Mapping, Marceline, Missouri, submitted the only bid. The matter was taken under advisement.
Two inquiries were made regarding used steel from bridges. Bids will be taken.
