Circuit Court

Law Day proceeding were conducted June 6 by Judge Stephen Griffin. The following cases were heard:

In City of Gallatin vs. Victor Gene Schweizer, a hearing was set for July 21.

Dissolutions of marriage were granted to Linda Allison Adler from Mike Charles Adler; and to Thomas L. Welchel from Susan K. Welchel.

In State vs. Chelsa McIntosh, on a change of venue from Livingston County, the defendant plead guilty to theft/stealing, class C felony, and a sentence assessment report was ordered.

In State vs. Allen L. Konopasek Jr., probation was revoked on two counts of felony non-support, and he was sentenced to four years in the Department of Corrections, with 120-day callback by RSMo 559.115.

Probation was revoked for Danny R. Knight for non-support, class D felony. He was sentenced to four years in the Department of Corrections, execution of sentence suspended. He received five years probation.

Probation was revoked for Rebecca Sparks on a class C felony charge of possession of controlled substance. The previously imposed five-year sentence was ordered executed.

Jose C. Gonzalez had previously plead guilty on April 4 to two counts of possession of controlled substance. The imposition of sentence was suspended on each count, and he received five years probation.

Justin A. Lee had plead guilty April 4 to passing bad checks. He was sentenced to four years in the Department of Corrections, execution of sentence suspended. He received five years probation and 120 days shock time in the county jail.

Randall Moore entered a guilty plea to passing bad check, class D felony. He was sentenced to four years in the Department of Corrections, execution of sentence suspended, and five years probation.

Carl E. McCartney entered a guilty plea to felony non-support. The imposition of sentence was suspended, and he received five years probation.

Andrew B. Morlan plead guilty to possession of controlled substance-cocaine. A sentence assessment report was ordered.

Corey D. Phipps, Whatcheer, Iowa, plead guilty to non-support, class D felony. The imposition of sentence was suspended and he received five years probation.

Civil cases filed: Petition to withdraw as candidate filed by Christy Prather, order entered June 7 by Judge Stephen Griffin granting petition to withdraw; Hector Camacho, Green City, vs. Director of Revenue, appeal to review driver’s license suspension; Daniel Kirby Myrick, Radcliffe, Iowa, vs. Nicole Lea Myrick, Gallatin, dissolution.
