Christy Prather has withdrawn her name as a Republican candidate for Daviess County Recorder of Deeds. Although her name still appears in the Notice of Primary Election which appears in this week’s edition of the Gallatin North Missourian, she is nevertheless in the process of withdrawing from the race. Only the official court order is lacking.

Prather would have faced the Democratic winner of the primary election, incumbent Georgia Maxwell or Lori McLaughlin, in the general election. According to Prather, her husband’s employment by the Hamilton school has prompted them to consider a move out of Daviess County.
