Mary Sue Hamilton, 79, Gallatin, died Thursday, May 25, 2006, at her home.
Mrs. Hamilton was born to her adopted parents Henry (Dick) and Kathryn (Cloud) Osborn in Gallatin on March 5, 1927. She graduated from Gallatin High School in 1944.
On Dec. 15, 1946, she married H.B. (Hal) Hamilton in Gallatin. The couple lived in the family home in Gallatin where she was a homemaker.
In 1954 Mary and Hal were the owner operators of the Hamilton Feed Co. until a fire destroyed the business in 1968. The Hamiltons moved to Ft. Collins, Colo., in 1969. In 1971, the couple relocated to Cameron, to be near elderly relatives. They then returned back to Ft. Collins in 1977 for a short period of time, returning back to Gallatin in 1980, where they remained and became active in the community.
Mrs. Hamilton was a member of Chapter B.Q. PEO, and the Gallatin United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hal in 1990, a brother George Peniston and a son Brooks Hamilton in 2005.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Kathryn Hamilton-Meade, Tacoma, Wash.; and two grandchildren.
