James Lewis, bridge supervisor, met with the commission reporting that they will work in Salem Township this week, replacing a concrete culvert. They are also evaluating bridges and culverts in Jefferson, Jamesport and Washington Townships.
Georgia Maxwell, recorder, filed her annual certificate of training.
Lois Carter, Daviess County Genealogy Society, contacted the commission requesting permission to hold meetings at the old jail building. They already have permission from the Historical Society. Permission granted.
Dave Wilson, Gallatin Area Revitalization Association, met with the commission with support for their efforts on the Highway 6 improvement project.
Jonathan and Phillip Arnold, Eagle Scouts, met with the commission regarding the veterans memorial. More flag poles are needed. Permission granted.
At 11 a.m. as advertised, bids for a burner for the heating system were opened. The matter was taken under advisement.
Randy Railsback and Jackie Soptic met with the commission regarding the publication of a new county plat book.
Becky Simpson, Extension Council, met with the commission regarding a second agent in the office. The University has not yet filled the position.
