Art work by Felicia Nelson has been selected for inclusion in the permanent collection for display in the College Library
Art work by recent North Central Missouri College graduate Felicia Nelson has been selected for inclusion in the permanent collection for display in the College Library located in Geyer Hall. College Librarian Ann Sampson says “year by year we are adding to the student work gracing our walls and eventually hope the entire library will be a showcase of student art. We believe that by purchasing and publicly showcasing student art is a way for us to encourage the artistic endeavors of NCMC students.”
“Symmetry in Blue” is the title of the work purchased by the College Library created by Miss Nelson. A graduate of North Daviess High School, Miss Nelson describes her decision to take art in school as “the start of something magical.” Felicia is the daughter of Chris and Deanna Nelson of Jameson. She graduated last Saturday from North Central Missouri College with an Associate in Arts degree and plans to transfer to Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph and major in Art Education.
Former NCMC students with work in the permanent collection include Dana Whitt of Trenton, Natosha Snidow of Galt and Kendra Tounzen of Brookfield.
