Winston First Baptist
Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, Acts 16:31. Jimmy Norton, deacon in training did the welcome, announcements, anniversaries and birthdays. Bro. Green did the prayer list. Sepcial music, "Because He Lives," was by Ice Deiter, dedicated to the Caldwell family in the loss of their mother.
Bro. Green’s message was from Psalms 37:4-20 and 23-40. Monday was service for Della Caldwell at our church with dinner for the family. Wednesday at 6 p.m. is our church choir practice and at 7 is our Bible study and prayer meeting. June 3 at 1:30 is Ron and Peggy Smith’s 50th wedding anniversary at the First Baptist Church in Gilman City from 2-4 p.m.
Gallatin First Christian
Pastor Russ Hamilton gave the message "Filled with Joy" based on Psalm 98 and John 15:9-17. Hattie Rains gave the children’s message for the first service and Lois Carter gave the children’s message for the second service.
Prayer requests were asked this week for the family of Daryl Mayfield, the family of Gladys Youtsey, the family of Eloise Morrison, Jackie Nichols and Sonna Walker on the loss of their brother, Scott Wilson, Bob Moore, Barbara Rudder, Loyal Smith, Larry Pittsenbarger, Barbara Landes, Betty Bashford, Bob Ramsbottom, Billie Mae Allenbaugh, Kelly Eads, Jim Williams, Don Ramsbottom, Wilda Levis, Sue Pittsenbarger, Pauline Watson, Kelly Vanatta, Judy Moore, Danny King and Don Moore.
Fitness, fun and fellowship is from 6:30-7 p.m. on May 24. Prayer meeting is at 6:30 on May 24. Bible study is at 7 p.m. on May 24. It’s FCC’s turn to deliver meals for the month of June. Darlene will do blood pressure checks next Sunday. Next Sunday we will accept our Pentecost Special Day offering.
Olive Baptist
Bro. David’s Sunday morning message was "An Inner Quietness," from I Thessalonians 4:11-12. Sarah Ishmael’s children’s message was "Advice from Gamaliel," from Acts 5:38. Bro. Ramsey’s Sunday evening Bible study was "God Protects, Provides and Promises," from Psalm 91.
Our annual mother and daughter banquet was Saturday evening. Iva Gail Ratliff was our guest speaker and presented a program highlighting a recent mission trip to Russia. Our deepest sympathy is extended to the family of Anna McKim.
Pattonsburg UMC
Bro. Ron’s sermon was based on Titus 2:1-10, Ezek 37:1-14. Remember in prayer Eva Robinson, Dean Horton, Homer McDaniel, Betty Cameron and the family of Betty Popplewell.
Gallatin First Baptist
Morning worship began with ordinance of believer’s baptism. Bro. Spencer’s message from God’s Word was "About the Da Vinci Code" using Psalm 100 as scripture. The message in song was by Jonathan Arnold. Sunday evening was church-in-conference. Beginning June 4 all evening services will be at 7 and remain that way until after Labor Day. V.B.S. is a one-day adventure on June 17. Julie Osborn and Shannon McBroom are co-directors.
Altamont United Methodist
Liz Duffy read the Sunday morning devotional "Grandchildren are Wonderful Gifts from God." Adult study lesson was "Obeying God Even in Complex Situations." Little people learned about "Moses Parting the Sea." Middler class studied about "Jerusalem in the Old Testament and How They Studied the Bible." Eight of our UMW ladies enjoyed a very nice luncheon with the Kidder ladies Tuesday. Kim Evans presented a very entertaining musical program.
Kids, get enrolled now for Bible School which will be held this weekend from 4 p.m. Saturday until Sunday morning worship time. Everyone come to the Communion Sunrise Service followed by breakfast. Prayer needs are for Mary Sue Hamilton, Maxine Fulk, Marlene Allen and Barry Morrison.

Rev. Paul Willard’s morning message was "What Does Life Mean to You?" from James 4:13-17. Special music was "How Great Thou Art" by Elaine Bohannon. Rev. and Mrs. Paul Willard celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Camp forms are available for youth and children’s camp at Grand Oaks. Prayer needs: Kelly Vanatta, Patrick McBroom, Pauline Watson, Don Larsen, Mary Louise Hackett, Barbara Landes, Frank and Shirley Smith. Sympathy is extended to the family of Della Caldwell.

Angie McFee, Velma Wolf and John Stith led prayers. John’s scripture was from John 14:22-24. Sunday School concluded at Philippians 4:23. Bro. Davis’ message today was "Seek Wisdom" from Proverbs 1:1-7 and James 1:5. Special prayer request are for the Caldwell family, Dorothy Mayberry and Helen Perks.

Rev. Richard Parker shared children’s message, Sunday School choir sang a special, and Chad Robertson played a clarinet solo. Scripture lessons for the 11 a.m. service were Acts 10:44-48 and John 15:9-17. Rev. Parker’s sermon topic was "A New Song."
Ruby Circle will meet at the home of Carol Wood with Gina Dixon presenting the program. Those who are or would like to work on the Habitat for Humanity house in Chillicothe need to meet at the church Saturday, June 3, at 7:45 a.m.
Prayer concerns are for Susie Hamilton, Jill McGinnis Gooding, Shirley Wood, Clara Macrander, Helen and Edgar Muller, Kelly Vanatta, Betty Bird and Loyal Smith.

Rev. Nordvall’s sermon was "A New Heaven and a New Earth" based on II Peter 3:10-14. Tony Moore read the scripture. Rev. Nordvall presented the children’s message. Prayer concerns are for Eula Osborne, Isabelle Glaser, Kelly Vanatta, Mildred Litton and Mary Sue Hamilton. The new sound system has been installed and the congregation rejoices.
Gallatin First Assembly of God
Something to ponder on: Bored? There’s a 1,189 chapter book waiting to be dusted. Opening scripture was from Psalms 150:1-6. Victory report was from J.L. and Ina Mcfee on granddaughter Tabitha, and baby Kelsey Garton. Prayer request were for, Mona Roberts, Della Caldwell family, Maxine Fulk, Eskridge family, Hollick family, and the Carlson’s as they travel. Brother Lint’s message was from Jeremiah 33:1-3 and Acts 16:25-26, "Praise The Walls Down!"
This Wednesday we will not be having our regular Word Study, we will be having with us Missionary Paul Robinson and family, they will share their burden for Bogota Columbia. We will have a time of prayer that evening and a time of food and fellowship following the service. Something to look forward to in June will be our fishing, fun, fellowship, and food at Forest and Judy Graham’s pond. More information as time gets near.
Alta Vista Baptist

Camp forms are available for those who want to attend – the registration deadline is June 2. The fellowship/graduation dinner to honor our graduates will be held on June 4. Donations are being accepted for VBS. VBS date has been set for July 16-20. Everyone is welcome to worship with us.
