Jean Staehnke, 79, Gallatin, died Sunday, May 7, 2006, at the Liberty Hospital.
Mrs. Staehnke was born Sept. 21, 1926, to Luther and Florence (Williamson) Morrison in Winston. She graduated from Winston High School. After graduation she attended secretarial school in Kansas City for one year, and then moved to San Diego, Calif.
Mrs. Staehnke worked for a plumbing company in California until retiring in 1996. After retirement she moved to Gallatin in 2004 to be near family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Frances Russell.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Iverson, Gallatin; one son, Alan Staehnke, Paulden, Ariz.; two sisters, Pauline Bridgeman, Gallatin, and Loma Morrison, Peculiar; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
