Traffic Fines

The following are traffic cases which were heard in the Associate Division of the Circuit Court of Daviess County involving a plea of guilty without contest and payment by mail of the standard fine plus court costs. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside outside of Missouri was $1,514.50 for 17 tickets. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside in Missouri was $1,532.50 for 17 cases. Court costs collected for the State of Missouri amount to $56.50 for moving traffic violations. Missouri defendants, offenses and fines are listed below:

Speeding amended by prosecuting attorney to failure to equip vehicle with adequate muffler: Jose R. Rodriguez, Kansas City, $193.50; Jimmie G. McBrayer, Jamesport, $143.50.

No seat belt: Charity A. Oshel, Jamesport, $10.

No insurance: Andrew S. Parker, Kansas City, $103.50.

Speeding in a construction zone: Pauline M. Schmidt, St. Louis, $93.50; Devin W. Penny, Kansas City, $183.50.

Keri V. Bennett, Independence, was fined $28.50 for speeding; $10 for no seat belt; and $103.50 for no insurance.

No valid plates: Shalena R. Dickson, Gallatin, 24 hours jail (board bill paid by defendant), $47.50.

Domestic dispute: David Salazar, Gallatin, $150; Cynthia Davis, Gallatin, $75.

Minor in possession of alcohol: Kyle A. Hanavan, Jameson, suspended imposition of sentence, two years probation, 30 hours community service.

Careless and imprudent driving, amended by prosecuting attorney to defective equipment: Jamie M. Mucho, Kirksville, $50.

Speeding amended by prosecuting attorney to defective equipment: Benny R. Tarwater, St. Joseph, $125; Charlotte E. Golden, Galt, $125; Jason N. Thogmartin, Trenton, $125; Manuela Camacho, Milan, $125.

No valid license amended by prosecuting attorney to defective equipment: Lee R. Kramer, Jamesport, $150.

No valid plates: Steven D. Braden, Gilman City, $47.50.

No helmet: James M. Stephens, Gallatin, $5.

Robert H. Bruyer of Cameron received a suspended imposition of sentence and two years probation for driving while suspended, and a $300 fine for child not in restraint.

Lindsay A. Neer, Gallatin, was fined $47.50 for failure to register vehicle and $25 for no insurance.

Kayla L. Hazen, Trenton, was fined $42.50 for speeding and $25 for no insurance.

Terry L. Hamilton, Gallatin, was fined $10.50 for dog at large and $10.50 for no dog license number.

Randi Curtis, Gallatin, was fined $10 on each of six counts of failure to restrain child.

Christopher S. Buscemi, Winston, was fined $47.50 for failure to report accident, and $47.50 for careless and imprudent driving.

Andrew T. Olson, Kansas City, was fined $27.50 for no valid license and $12.50 for speeding.

Civil Court

Portfolio Recovery Associates LLC vs. Wilma J. Croy: judgment was entered for the plaintiff Portfolio Recovery Associates for a total of $3,120.19 plus costs and interest.
