Evelyn Riley was hostess to the May 1 Laureate Delta Rho meeting with 15 members present for installation of officers. President Nancy Salmon announced the theme for next year is “75 Years Young,” as the international organization will be celebrating its 75th birthday. Nancy also read thank yu notes from Ayrica Batson, our Girls State representative, and Taylor Henderson, our high school scholarship winner. Members were assigned committees for the coming year and discussion was held on cutting down the number of meetings we have each year. Evelyn gave an interesting program on the origin and history of May Day. The next meeting will be May 15 at the Southside at 6:30.
