James H. Everly of Bethany reported April 20 that over $5,000 in equipment had been stolen from his farm located on 207th Street near Pattonsburg. The items, including a trailer, a dozer blade, an auger, and a brush cutter, were taken some time between March 5 and March 20. The house had also been ransacked.
Daviess County Sheriff Kevin Heldenbrand hit a deer about 7:30 a.m. on April 10, on Titan Avenue south of Altamont. Damage was minimal, as the animal went under the vehicle. One light was knocked off of the 2005 Tahoe. The light will be replaced by the Sheriff’s Department. The day after the sheriff’s accident, Deputy Kevin Lawson also was involved in a collision with a deer south of Pattonsburg.
James Waggoner, 48, Pattonsburg, was arrested April 21 for no valid license, class D felony. He posted $2,500 bond. He was charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia on April 24.
Brian K. Marshall, 37, Pattonsburg, was arrested April 22 for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He posted $250 bond.
Sandra K. Barber, 42, Liberty, was charged April 22 with misdemeanor DWI. She posted $750 bond.
Joe Marrant, 28, Excelsior Springs, was charged April 22 with misdemeanor driving while suspended. He posted $350 bond.
Rodney Phillips, 45, Kansas City, was charged April 22 with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. He posted $750 bond.
Kevin Stevinson, 22, Independence, was charged April 19 with failure to appear on an order to show cause for driving while revoked. He posted $150 bond.
Cloy Miller, 25, Overland Park, Kan., was arrested April 20 for failure to appear on misdeameanor charges of possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. He posted $1,000 bond.
Michael Perales, 23, Osage City, Kan., was arrested April 20 for misdemeanor no valid license. He posted $500 bond.
Gordon Hale, 49, Jamesport, was arrested April 22 for misdemeanor passing bad checks. He posted $200 bond.
Derrick Provonce, 25, Jamesport, was arrested April 22 on Harrison County warrants for misdemeanor DWI and driving while suspended. He posted $975 bond.
