Raymond Harris, 72, Trenton, died April 24, 2006, at a care center in Trenton.
Funeral services for Raymond Harris will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Resthaven Mortuary at Trenton. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens at Trenton. Open visitation will begin after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
The family has asked that memorial contributions be given to the Alzheimers Foundation in Mr. Harris’s memory.
Raymond Harris, 72, Trenton, died April 24, 2006, at a care center in Trenton.
Mr. Harris was born on Feb. 27, 1933, at Jamesport, the son of Granville and Lucille Gott Harris. He was raised at Jamesport and graduated from Jamesport High School.
On Dec. 25, 1952, he was married to Joetha Roberts at Jamesport. After their marriage they moved to Trenton where he began employment as a lineman for R.E.A.
They then moved to Brookfield, where he worked for Consumers Public Service and returned to Trenton in 1963 to work as a lineman for Missouri Public Service. He retired from Missouri Public Service in 1990 as a line foreman.
Mr. Harris as baptized as a Lutheran while he lived in Jamesport. He belonged to the Good Sam’s Camping Club and the Trenton Archery Club.
Survivors include his wife Joetha Harris of Trenton; two sons, Gene Harris of Fort Hood, Texas, and Jerry Harris of Trenton; a sister, Marge Curtis of Gallatin; and three grandchildren.
