The Pattonsburg R-2 Board of Education accepted two resignations effective at the end of the year and filled positions for next school year during their regular meeting held Wednesday, April 19. Resignations were accepted from Terri Gabbard, special education instructor, and Michael Garrett, science instructor. Gwen McKinley was hired for special education aid and Tuanette Hulett was hired as science instructor.

The board talked to a parent about next year’s bus routes and voted to continue the town bus route for next year and for this summer.

The Athletic Coop Agreement between Pattonsburg and North Daviess was discussed.

The Instructional Effectiveness Program report was reviewed and approved.

Mrs. Gannan reported an enrollment of 88 students in high school and an attendance rate of 94% for March. Mrs. Rucker reported an enrollment of 83 students in grades K-6 an attendance rate of 94% for March.

Mrs. Gannan presented some changes in student policies for next year. The board will vote on the changes next month.

Mrs. Rucker presented the school wellness plan for next year, which the board reviewed and approved. The board also reviewed and approved the calendar of events. The 05-06 budget was discussed.

Those in attendance were Craig Lambert, Patty Hartley, Gene Thatcher, Ben deJong, Dianne Hulett, Lincoln Cornett, Cindy Estep, Melanie Rucker, Chris Gannon and Wendell Burns. Next board meeting date was changed to May 16.
