Carl Carder promoted to Masterchief

Masterchief is the highest rank attainable in the enlisted ranks. Carl was also one of three who received the high honor of being pinned with the Navy Achievement Medal. It’s a tradition in Carl’s battalion that upon retirement a Masterchief hand down their anchors to someone they want to see promoted. Retired Masterchief J.D. Johnson gave Carl his anchors and told him that he’d make it someday.
