Funeral services for Josephine Lee were held Tuesday at Poland-Thompson Chapel, Cameron. Burial will be at Osborn Evergreen Cemetery, Osborn. Memorials may be made to the Alta Vista Church and/or United Methodist Church, Winston.

Helen Josephine (Lawson) Lee, 90, Weatherby, died on April 15, 2006.

Mrs. Lee was born on April 30, 1915, to James A. and Ethel Edie Lawson at Osborn, where she graduated. She attended Platte Business College in St. Joseph.

She married Wesley Lee, Jr. on June 28, 1945, and lived most of their married life on a farm in Weatherby, where she and her husband had a dairy farm.

Mrs Lee was active in Eastern Star and received her 50th year pin. She was also active in the Boston Mountain Club, Fairview Community Club and was a 4-H leader.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley, Jr.; her parents; and three sisters, Lorene Proffitt, Wynona Lawson and Frances Piepergerdes.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Brannen, Moberly; two brothers, Rev. Frederick Lawson, St. Joseph, and Emmert Lawson, Santa Barbara, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
