Traffic Fines

The following are traffic cases which were heard in the Associate Division of the Circuit Court of Daviess County involving a plea of guilty without contest and payment by mail of the standard fine plus court costs. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside outside of Missouri was $693 for 10 tickets. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside in Missouri was $1,153.50 for 22 cases. Court costs collected for the State of Missouri amount to $56.50 for moving traffic violations. Missouri defendants, offenses and fines are listed below:

No valid plates: Jonas Kurtz, Jefferson City, $18.50; Derick J. Pratt, Cameron, $18.50.
Failure to drive on right half: Seth R. Pottorff, Hatfield, $38.50.
Failure to stop for stop sign: Kirk Hullinger, Winston, $28.50.
Speeding amended by prosecuting attorney to failure to equip vehicle with adequate muffler: Emily D. Hockman, Lathrop, $143.50; Jonas Kurtz, Jefferson City, $193.50.
Patrick Stephens, Raytown, was fined $28.50 for failure to register with DOR; $58.50 for speeding; and $10 for no seat belt.
David D. Karstens, Gallatin, was fined $21 for failure to secure child under 4 and $28.50 for vision reducing material not in compliance.
Julie M. Fisher, Jameson, was fined $18.50 for no valid plates and $10 for no seat belt.
Sara L. Levine, Blue Springs, was fined $38.50 for failure to place vehicle, not in motion, as near right of highway as possible and $148.50 for speeding.


Civil Court

Midwestern Health Management vs. Diane Phipps: Judgment entered for plaintiff Midwestern Health on two counts for a total judgment of $549.40 plus interest and costs, with consent of defendant Phipps.
Midwestern Health Management vs. Junior L. and Terrie L. Hogan: Judgment entered for plaintiff Midwestern Health on six counts for a total judgment of $6,393.07 plus costs and interest.
Midwestern Health Management vs. Kathy L. Braden: Judgment entered for plaintiff Midwestern Health on two counts for a total judgment of $1,037.32, with consent of defendant Braden; stay of execution granted pursuant to payment agreement.
