Richard Melding, 51, Kansas City, received minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at about 7:50 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, in Daviess County, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Richard Melding, 51, Kansas City, received minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at about 7:50 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, in Daviess County, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred as Mr. Melding was driving a 2006 Sterling southbound on I-35 about four miles north of Cameron and traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned. The vehicle came to rest on its side, off the west side of I-35.

Mr. Melding was transported to Cameron Regional Medical Center by Cameron Ambulance. He was wearing his seat belt.

The 2006 Sterling received moderate damage and was towed by Bridgemans Tow of Altamont.

The accident was investigated by Tpr. J.P. Lynch, assisted by Cpl. P.M. Kimball Sgt. S.A. Shipers, Tpr. A.A. Henry, Tpr. C.A. Taibi Jr., and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.

No summons was issued.
