FFA Chapter ranked as one of the top 55; Band rates excellent at NWMSU music festival

The Pattonsburg FFA chapter recently received news that it is ranked as one of the top 55 chapters in the state of Missouri. Recently at the Area II FFA Contest several members were rewarded for their hard work. Chapter Secretary, Katelyn Hulet was honored by winning first place in the FFA Secretary’s Book competition. Katelyn was responsible for keeping minutes of every FFA meeting, committee reports, agendas, and correspondence as well as the committees. With this first place finish Katelyn’s book will proceed to state convention.
Also that night Kate Hangley received second place and a gold finish for her hard work on the FFA Scrapbook. She was also accepted as a 2006 member of the Missouri Agribusiness Academy. In June, Kate will travel to St. Louis anndustries along with twenty-nine other Missouri sophomores.
Creed speaker Mariah Wood received a silver place finish with her recital of the FFA Creed.
Band rates excellent at NWMSU music festival
Four Pattonsburg High School band students received a superior rating (I) at the Music Festival held in Maryville on Friday, March 31. Ashley Cameron, Aleah Sperry, Caroline Hulet and Heather Allee will be going on to State Music Contest in Columbia on April 28.
The PHS Band received an excellent (II) rating at the festival.
The following students also received an excellent rating in solo and ensembles: Becca Bowland, Mike Foster, Travis Lowrey, Haley Slessman, Trayce deJong and Kate Hangley.
