Funeral services for Paul Stodgell were held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Stroup-Thompson Funeral Home in Winston. Cremation was after the service. Memorials may be made to the family.

Paul Richard Stodgell, 70, Winston, died Saturday, Aril 1, 2006.
Mr. Stodgell was born on Sept. 18, 1935, in Independence, to Sharon Earl and Mildred (Harter) Thomas.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the American Legion, Winston.
Mr. Stodgell was preceded n death by his parents and foster parents, Olan and Dorothy Stodgell. He married Barbara Kirk on May 19, 1979. She survivors of the home.
Other survivors include one son, Robert; one daughter, Robin; one sister, Bonnie Turner; one half-brother, John; one half-sister, Joyce; and three granddaughters.
