Gene and Kathy Walker visited Chris, Laile and Jennifer Troxler and Kristin Walker last Friday. Sunday dinner guests of Gene and Kathy were Gary and Betty Woodring of Turney, Kristin Walker, Chris, Jennifer and Laile Jaye Troxler, all of Kansas City. They all attended the baby dedication for Laile at the First Baptist church of Pattonsburg. Friday evening Leroy and Janelle Mikes and their children and their spouses and grandchildren all had supper out to celebrate the 63rd wedding anniversary of Leroy and Janelle. Following the meal they all went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Klindt for cake and ice cream.Saturday Sandra Holman took Janelle Mikes to Smithville to see granddaughter Melissa Holman’s new home. They also visited the Smithville Cemetery, where some of the relatives are buried.Bill and Cheryl Adams and Dorlene Munn visited Woodrow and Maxine Morris Friday afternoon. Jeanna and Forest Morris visited Saturday afternoon. Herb Luke was a visitor one day this week.Susie Cochran spent Sunday afternoon with Judy Fore. One day this past week Connie deJong visited with Susie at the home of Joe and Dolores Cameron. Susie has been visiting the past three weeks with Joe and Dolores and other relatives and friends, before returning to her home in South Carolina.Mike and Sharon Shipers, Holt, were Saturday visitors of Letha Shipers. In the afternoon they, along with Letha, visited in McFall with J.C. and Maudie Youngs.John Bell, St. Louis, was weekend visitor of his mother, Donna Bell.Paul and Sally Schweedler spent the weekend at Colony attending the flea market.Bruce Lowrey, Independence, came Saturday to visit parents, Delbert and Lavena. Others visiting during the day were Michael, Janellda and Brianna Weber, Tommie Lowrey and Evelyn Bayne.Charles and Belinda Cameron and family hosted a birthday party for their son Christopher’s 10th birthday. Others attending were Christina and family, Mr. and Mrs. Charley Cameron and family, Pam and Virgil Miller, Jennie Kidd and family, Paul and Doris Cameron, Deloris Kane, Max and Beverly Berry, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Berry, Steven Berry, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Cameron and girls and Mickey Howard.Deloris Kane has been visiting Paul and Doris Cameron and other relatives and friends. They visited one day with Helen Thatcher. Connie Hirter, St. Joe, came to visit one day. Deloris returned to her home in Waverly, Kan., first of the week.
