Funeral services for Herbert Polley will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial will be in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where friends may call after 8 a.m. Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Miriam Cemetery and/or Bethany Fire Department in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, 64424.

Herbert C. Polley, 80, Bethany, formerly of Ridgeway, died Monday, March 20, 2006, at a St. Joseph hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy L. Polley; a sister, Catherine Ledgerwood; four brothers, Bobby D., Garland "Slugger", Arlo and Lee Polley.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann Johnson, New Hampton, and Mona Polley, Bethany; one brother, Wayne "Barney" Polley, Bethany; two sisters, Betty Clark, Jameson and Colleen Zimmerman, Des Moines, Iowa; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
