Thelma Chiarottino of Issaquah, formerly St. Joseph, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at the age of 95.
She was the widow of Dr. Joseph F. Chiarottino, a prominent St. Joseph physician, and founder of Lovers Lane Acres and Highland Meadows Mobile Home Park, who died in 1963. Thelma was a member of the St. Joseph Country Club, Elks Club, Altar Society and Buchanan County Medical Society, and was a Boy Scout den leader. She attended St. Joseph Cathedral, Central High School and St. Joseph Junior College. She was employed by Thompson-Brumm-Knepper Clinic as a supervisor until 1976 when she retired and moved to Washington state. Thelma was the daughter of Robert Parshall and Vena Carden Parshall, both deceased Survivors are her sons, Gary, Bellingham, Wash.; Robert, Gig Harbor, Wash.; Michael, San Francisco, Calif.; and James, Pleasanton, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Bob Trask; and granddaughter, Chauncey, Sammamish, Wash.; two grandchildren, Washington state; and relatives, Loletta Middleton, St. Joseph; and Annabelle Reynolds, Pattonsburg, Mo. A private burial will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery, St. Joseph. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial gathering Saturday, April 1, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Bill and Dorothy Wenz home, 2723 Fairleigh Terrace, St. Joseph. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’’s Association.
