The graveside service and burial for Mary Payne was held Friday at the Masonic Cemetery, Jamesport. Arrangements were by McWilliams Funeral Home, Jamesport. Memorials may be made to the Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, Ark., in care of the funeral home. Mary Virginia Payne, 90, Springdale, formerly Jamesport, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at a Springdale health-care center.

Mrs. Payne was born April 9, 1915, to Dee and Maude (Harper) Richardson in Jamesport. She attended and graduated from the Jamesport High School in 1933. Mrs. Payne lived most of her life in the Jamesport area until the last few years when she moved to Springdale to be near her daughter and family. A homemaker, Mrs. Payne was united in marriage to Dale A. Payne on Sept. 25, 1937, in Jamesport. He died on Jan. 2, 1977. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Jennie Lou, in 1951. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Hicklin, Springdale, Ark.; and a grandson.
