Dispatcher Amanda Shubert’s resignation, effective as of March 9, was accepted by the Daviess County Central 9-1-1 Board during their regular meeting held Feb. 23. Mrs. Shubert had accepted employment with Children’s Mercy Critical Care Response Team. The board conveyed their appreciation for all of her hard work and wished her success in her new career.
The board voted to hire Kerri Lee-Sterneker as a full-time dispatcher at her present salary with life and health insurance benefits.
The treasurer’s report was presented and accepted by the board with bills of $64,575.10, revenue of $17,294.20, and a bank balance of $13,385.73.
Dana Carder presented the health insurance renewal quote. After discussion, the present insurance coverage was renewed.
Mrs. Carder advised that the South Western Bell bill was to be adjusted for the removal of the old 9-1-1 system. The workman’s comp policy was accepted and renewed.
The board was informed that Kyle McBroom had ordered the necessary equipment for the exhaust system to be installed in the 9-1-1 office.
Mrs. Carder presented the DSL Internet information from Alltel, which the board voted to implement as soon as it is available.
An ad was to be placed in the newspaper for a part-time dispatch position.
During comments by board members, Gene Walker said he was still discussing with the state the specs regarding a state historical building.
Mark Richards said he had contacted Ed Block who could replace the supervisor’s CPU with a Dell CPU and mirror the files for $450. The board accepted a motion to have Mr. Block replace the CPU.
Larry Belshe stated he would meet with the bookkeeper on expectations.

Board members present were Larry Belshe, John Sullenger, Daniel Skinner, Gene Walker and Mark Richards. Misse Tolen and Troy Souders were absent. Also present were dispatcher Tammy Jones and Supervisor Dana Carder.
