The Gallatin R-5 Board of Education will hold their regular meeting on Thursday, March 16, in the high school library. New policies will be covered during old business, which includes a district wellness policy due August 2006.

A budget presentation with view of seven years is among the new business agenda items to be gone over. The board will also look at budget ideas and legislation speculation concerning balances. Among those issues will be the 1996 bond series pay off of $605,000; bleachers in the football field $24,514/$14,713; kitchen equipment; and poly/rubberized track.

Budget cuts will be reviewed during executive session, along with teacher evaluations and contracts; and a personnel report.

The superintendent will report on radio frequency and market; legislation concerning virtual schools and tax credits.

Principals Mr. Burrell, Mr. Elbert, and Mrs. Warren will give their reports.

Next meeting is tentatively set for April 13.
