A jury trial for Brandon Anderson, accused in the August 2004 kidnaping and murder of Steven Lawrence, was set to begin on Oct. 16, 2006.
Accused arsonists Carsley Crabtree, Aaron Harmon and Casey Anderson, former members of the Pattonsburg Volunteer Fire Department, all appeared in court and plead not guilty. The three cases were continued to April 4. The case against Skylar Manion was removed from the docket and also continued to April 4. The four allegedly set fire to three barns and an abandoned house on Halloween night in the Pattonsburg area.
Criminal cases filed: State vs. Richard L. Blakeman, possession of controlled substance, class C felony. The defendant plead not guilty on March 7, and the case was continued to April 4.
Civil cases filed: Lori Marie Adams vs. Brent N. Adams, dissolution of marriage;
Garold and Mildred McDaniel and Bill and Barbara Shadwick vs. Contigroup Companies Inc., Premium Standard Farms Inc., PSF Group Holdings Inc., Jim Woodward, Juanita Woodward and Nathan Woodward, petition for injunction;
Missouri Highway Department vs. Warren R. Hemry, County Collector Reta Rains, Ann Geline Schweizer, and Victor Gene Schweizer, condemnation petition – eminent domain.
Lynn J. Trammell vs. State of Missouri, motion to vacate, set aside, or correct judgment.
