Narcotics located in I-35 traffic stop

A traffic stop on I-35 in Daviess County on Feb. 11 resulted in the arrest of a Brownsville, Texas, man for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, class A felony. Guerrero Homero, 24, allegedly possessed one kilogram of cocaine.

Homero’s 1997 Ford was stopped for displaying expired vehicle registration. A search by consent resulted in discovery of cocaine under the console of the vehicle in a cut out compartment. Homero was arrested by the Troop H Special Enforcement Team and taken to the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department for incarceration.
