Graveside services and burial for Gilbert Ward will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, at the Coffey Cemetery, under the direction of the Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the funeral home. There is no scheduled family visitation.
Gilbert C. Ward, 87, Coffey, died Feb. 19, 2006, at his home.
Mr. Ward was born Sept. 21, 1918, in Santa Rosa, the son of William and Myrtle (Snider) Ward.
He was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Coffey Christian Church.
He married Wilma Ward. She died on July 20, 1978.
Survivors include Marcia Kimbrough, and Stacia Nighthart of Pattonsburg; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
