The Gallatin R-5 Board of Education will hold their regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16, at the high school library. Old business will cover board policy, web site at gallatin.k12.mo.us., and new policies. New business will look at the 2006-2007 budget/287 formula; 1996/2000 series bonds and early payoff/savings plan with a handout for the board and presentation; new bus specs for purchase; and parent/family involvement policy. Budget cuts and principal evaluations/contracts will be heard during executive session. Superintendent will report on MARE membership, wellness policy and natural gas utility. Principals Burrell, Elbert and Warren will report. Executive session will also cover the personnel report.
