Funeral services for James Searcy were held Saturday, Feb. 4, at Dardanelle Church of Christ in Dardanelle, Ark.. Internment was in the Brearley Cemetery, Dardanelle.

Military honor guard was Shirty Stewart and members of the Boyce Woods V.F.W. Post #3141. His granddaughter, a former Navy Honor Guard member, presented the flag to her grandmother. Arrangements were under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle.

James Lloyd Searcy, Tucson, Ariz., died Jan. 27, 2006.

Mr. Searcy was born Nov. 3, 1922, at Santa Rosa.

He was a Christian and a lay member of the Dardanelle Church of Christ.

Mr. Searcy was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Opal Eulinger Searcy; two sisters, Wilma (infant), and Vera N. Cameron; and one brother, Covel D. Searcy.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Anita Adney Searcy, of the home; three daughters, Janis Searcy, Janelle Menick, and Janita Searcy Hastings, all of Tucson, Ariz.; one brother, Marvin Searcy, Pattonsburg; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
