Law Day was Thursday, October 6. The following cases were heard by Judge Stephen Griffin:
Dissolutions of marriage were granted to Shannon Kaloniola Hunter from Jeremy Wilson Hunter, and to Tammy Lorene Guffey from Kevin Wayne Guffey.
In State of Missouri vs. Casey L. Woodward, the defendant plead guilty to possession of controlled substance, class C felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, class A misdemeanor. The imposition of sentence was suspended on the felony count, and he was placed on five years probation supervised by Missouri Board of Probation and Parole. He was sentenced to 10 days in the county jail on the misdemeanor.
William Freddie Rothman plead guilty on an amended charge of passing bad checks, class A misdemeanor. The imposition of sentence was suspended, and he received two years probation, supervised by the Court Services Program.
Linda A. Bayless plead guilty to an amended class A misdemeanor charge of passing bad checks. She was fined $250.
In State vs. Timothy L. Baker, the defendant had plead guilty on May 5, 2005, to no valid license, class D felony, and possession of controlled substance, class C felony. He received a suspended imposition of sentence on both counts and was placed on five years probation, supervised by the Missouri Board of Probation and Parole.
Collin Edward Bolin had plead guilty July 7, 2005, to possession controlled substance, class C felony, possession of controlled substance, class A misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, class A misdemeanor. Imposition of sentence was suspended, and he received five years probation for the felony charge, supervised by Missouri Board of Probation and Parole. On the two misdemeanor charges, he received two 30-day sentences in the county jail, to run concurrently.
Rebecca Sparks had plead guilty June 9, 2005 to possession of controlled substance, class C felony, and possession of controlled substance, class A misdemeanor. She was sentenced to five years in the Missouri Department of Corrections on the felony, execution of sentence suspended. She received five years probation, supervised by Missouri Board of Probation and Parole. On the misdemeanor she received 30 days in the county jail.
In State vs. Patsy Hoskin-Davis, she had plead guilty to passing bad checks, class D felony, on Aug. 4, 2005. She was sentenced to serve four years in the Missouri Department of Corrections, consecutive to other sentences received in other counties. The execution of sentence was suspended, and she was placed on five years probation supervised by Missouri Board of Probation and Parole.
Jimmy Lynn Loucks Jr. plead guilty to burglary 2nd degree, class C felony, on Aug. 4, 2005. Imposition of sentence was suspended, and he was placed on five years probation, supervised by Missouri Probation and Parole.
William E. Loucks plead guilty Aug. 4, 2005, to burglary 2nd degree, class C felony, and possession of controlled substance, class C felony. The imposition of sentence was suspended on both counts, and he received five years probation, supervised by Missouri Probation and Parole.
In State vs. Bradford G. Ballenger, probation was revoked on the original charge of possession of controlled substance, class C felony. The previously imposed sentence of five years in the Department of Corrections was executed.
Probation was revoked for Deborah K. Martin on an original charge of passing bad checks, class D felony. The previously imposed sentence of eight years in the Department of Corrections was executed.
