John E. and Shirley Wood were married Feb. 12, 1956, in Carrollton. A golden anniversary celebration will be held in their honor from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006, at the Gallatin United Methodist Church. Hosting the celebration will be their seven children and spouses; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A golden celebration tree will be provided for special memories.
