Graveside services for Helena Tincknell were held Monday at the Hillcrest Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Polley Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Helena Tincknell, 90, Rayville, died Jan. 26, 2006, at the Excelsior Springs Medical Center.

Mrs. Tincknell was born on May 28, 1915, in Mound Valley, Kan., the daughter of Ernest Everett and Annie (Olmstead) Peterson.

She was united in marriage to Kermit Tincknell on Nov. 30, 1962, in Neodesha, Kan. He died on Feb. 22, 1987.

Mrs. Tincknell was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Neodesha and Columbus, Kan.

Mrs. Tincknell was preceded in death her husband, Kermit, a son, Robert Vermillion on Dec. 9, 2002, and a grandson, Greg Seller on Oct. 2, 1988.

Survivors include her daughter, Ann Seller of Rayville; six grandchildren, including Penny Sloan of Kidder; and 13 great-grandchildren.
